A hollow cave lies barren by the sea. Inside, the broken walls, like mirrors cracked, Reflect the loneliness of souls attacked By haunting demons from their memories: Life’s murky waters crash against debris. He strains halfheartedly to stay intact: A single soldier struggling to react Against a fiendish force he cannot see. As demons beat down doors guarding his mind, Defenses fail; He drowns beneath a sky Surrounding him with hope, hiding behind The shadows as life pushes him aside Without the time to wait for those too blind To realize their strength can turn the tide. |
